Zoe's Nursery!

I'm finally posting some pictures of the baby's nursery! It's almost finished, we're just a mattress, comforter and some decorations away from it being done (thanks to my mom for keeping all of my old baby furniture and helping us paint everything)! So in the next few months while she sleeps in our room we'll finish it up and I'll get the updated pictures posted. I think it looks pretty cute.

Camp Sara

So it appears our little Zoe likes to procrastinate as much as her parents do, and has set up camp in my uterus for an undetermined period of time. Sleep has become a distant memory, but she is giving us some extra time to work on the house! So hopefully in a few more days we'll get to meet our little baby and she won't decide to show up too far past her due date. Mom is really, reaallly tired!

New Years Eve

We went to my Mom's giant New Years Eve party again this year and had a great time. I felt kind of like a giant, swollen, pregnant beach ball but it was great hanging out with the family. Jake did a shot of water to celebrate another year of sobriety, we played games all night and ate ourselves sick. It was really fun. We were kind of hoping Zoe might decide to make an early appearance that night, but no such luck....

Christmas

Christmas was great, we spent most of the day hanging out with the Smith's eating Scott's amazing smoked turkey and catching up with Aaron, K.J and the girls. Except for the fact that we were totally exhausted we had a great time! Jake and I were both up all night Christmas Eve while I was in false labor. Needless to say we were both pretty tired Christmas morning, but Jake still had the energy to play with our cute little nieces. I think he's going to be such a great Dad : )

So the baby dropped last night!

Last night the baby dropped! which is great because I can breathe easier, but I feel like I have to pee every 5 minutes so it's good and bad. From what I've read after the baby drops there's only about 4 weeks left!!! So our little girl might decide to show up around Christmas or New Years Eve! The countdown is on! I better start cleaning my house!

Our day after Thanksgiving adventure

So after about 5 or 6 hours of shopping I started having contractions right on top of each other so bad that I couldn't stand up. And in less than an hour I had already had 10! So the doctor had us check into the hospital so that they could monitor my contractions and the baby's heartbeat. It turned out that I had just overdone the shopping and it was nothing to worry about, and after a couple of hours and a little torture they sent me home. I learned my lesson!!! No more 5 or 6 hour shopping trips for me!

So we've finally decided on a name!

We've been thinking about names for a while now, but we always seem to come back to Zoe Jane. So Zoe Jane Smith, just about ten weeks left and we'll get to meet you. We love you already.
